The Pure Beauty Global Awards follows on from the success of the Pure Beauty Awards, which has celebrated the UK’s best new beauty product for the past 15 years. In 2018 the Pure Beauty Awards went global for the first time, allowing international brands to take the spotlight.
The 2018 winners were announced at the prestigious black and gold gala hosted by presenter, writer and actor Layne Redman on 9 May at the Four Seasons Jumeirah in Dubai. The awards were a complete sell-out with over 150 industry guests from premium, mass and niche global beauty brands and the UAE’s leading beauty retailers, including Al Tayer Group, Emirates, Chalhoub Group and noon.

Who decided the winners?
Pure Beauty’s editorial judging panel narrowed down the entries to a final shortlist and then worked with an international panel beauty experts to vote for the winners. The judging criteria was be based on a product’s usability, effectiveness, unique selling points, packaging (where relevant), functionality and innovation.
The international beauty experts used their expertise to judge across different categories and decide the best new global products of the year. The international judging panel will consisted of:
Professional beauty experts across all sectors
Leading make-up artists, hairdressers and facialists as well as male grooming and body care specialists
Professionals working in the manufacture and supply of over the counter beauty and grooming products around the world
Beauty buyers from leading international retail outlets
