Pure Beauty Awards – the best in beauty!

The Pure Beauty Awards acknowledges the best in beauty with the most efficacious, exciting and innovative products launched over the past 12 months taking centre stage. The winners are voted for by Pure Beauty’s readers. These are the expert beauty retail staff selling and advising customers on your products daily.

The 2018 winners were announced at a sparkling midnight-garden themed ceremony hosted by radio DJ and presenter Vick Hope on 25 October at the Savoy hotel in London. The awards were a complete sell-out with over 350 industry guests from premium, mass and niche beauty brands and the UK’s leading UK beauty buyers, including ASOS, Boots, Harrods, QVC, FeelUnique and The Fragrance Shop.

The 2018 Pure Beauty Awards winners will be featured in Pure Beauty special awards issue, which will be published in December.

The 2017 winners were announced at a glowing neon-glam themed ceremony hosted by radio DJ, author and presenter Gemma Cairney on 26 October at the Savoy hotel in London. The awards were a complete sell-out with over 350 industry guests from premium, mass and niche beauty brands and the UK’s leading UK beauty buyers, including Amazon, Boots, Harrods, QVC, The Perfume Shop and The Fragrance Shop.

Popular high street names also joined in with the celebrations with both Boots and Superdrug winning awards for their own-brand products and leading TV shopping channel QVC for scooping the award for Best New Retail Innovation of 2017.

Other popular retailers on the guest list included Harrods, The Perfume Shop, Amazon, The Perfume Shop, Button & Wilde, Space NK, Oliver Bonas and River Island, as well as e-retailer feelunique and TV shopping channel QVC.

There were 36 awards categories in total for 2017, including Best New British Brand and Best New International Breakthrough Brand, which were sponsored by leading speciality chemical distributor Univar.

W7 Cosmetics sponsored the Organic and Natural categories for 2017 and were joined by their brand ambassadors Maria Fowler of The Only Way Is Essex fame, make-up artist and YouTube star Stephanie Lange and four-times BMX World Champion Kelvin Batey..

A host of celebrities joined in with the night’s proceedings. The Saturdays’ Rochelle Humes scooped the award for Best New Ethnic Beauty Product with her HiGlow High-Intensity Radiance & Glow Body Cream. Plus, Samantha Faiers and Billie Faiers went up on stage to collect the Best New Body Product award for their Minnies So Into It Sparkling Dusting Powder.

Venue: The Savoy

The Savoy is a world-famous luxury hotel and one of London’s most celebrated landmarks. It sits on the north bank of the River Thames overlooking the south bank and is set within the vibrancy of Covent Garden. This beautiful venue has been a pioneer for elegance since 1880 and the ‘home’ of the Pure Beauty Awards for the past three years. Following a lovely stroll along the river, guests can access the elegant Lancaster Ballroom from the hotel’s Riverside entrance.
